"Mountains bow down... at the sound of your name."

That lyric takes on a whole new light when you're singing it to God from 14,000 feet (supposing you could sing)! At Encounter Renewal Retreat MOUNTAIN EDITION, you may rest and relax in our alpine campsite, or take a stroll though the aspens and pines, or you may push your limits with a challenging, high-intensity hike up nearby Pikes Peak at 14,110 feet. Whatever you choose, your spirit will be guided into rest and renewal in the Lord.

On July 20-25, 2026, we will enjoy a low-structure, 5-night camping retreat at Mueller State Park about 50 minutes west of Colorado Springs. We'll enjoy a developed campsite offering tent camping, RV/trailer spots, full bathroom & shower facilities, and water & electric. This retreat is great for adults and families who want to adventure together. We will enjoy ample free time for hiking, riding, and exploring southern Colorado, and then we will gather each evening for fellowship, worship, and some instruction in the renewal process. Bold adventurers may test their mettle with a 4,300-foot climb on nearby Pikes Peak on Thursday. We'll spend the week enjoying the Creator in His beautiful creation! Brothers and sisters striving together as we worship the Lord, and the mountains will be our sanctuary.

Location - Mueller State Park, 50 minutes west of Colorado Springs.  Here's a map. The Pisgah Point West group campsite can accommodate up to 7 RVs/trailers. Let us know with your registration if you plan to bring your RV. First come, first serve.

A Word of Caution - Hiking/climbing 14ers is no joke! It can involve a physical and mental strain that is impossible to replicate at lower elevation. We try to select mountains and routes that are feasible for novice hikers, but there is no such thing as an easy 14er, especially for the uninitiated! We will take every precaution to be prepared and safe, but there is inherent risk of injury and death when climbing mountains. Participant discretion is advised. Contact us with concerns and questions.
